Bryan graduated from University of Pacific and is a dentist! We are so proud of him and how hard he works. We were so sad to leave the wonderful city of San Francisco. I had a good cry a few days before we left, McKay broke down in tears as he watched all of our stuff get loaded into the moving truck. Our little apartment in San Francisco was all he knew. This magical city and our time here will always have a special place in our hearts. We made many incredible friends who became like family as Bryan worked and studied long hours. We know we will make many trips back here.
Bryan accepted a job in a general practice residency in Iowa City. So, we packed our things and moved there. I must say I was not excited about moving to Iowa City. However, we moved here and instantly liked this quaint town. We loved the biking trails everywhere, the great weather, and loved how green it was. However, we knew the weather would be far from great in the Winter! We joined the Iowa City rec center gym and the kids loved the awesome pool there. There was a great path right in front of our apartment where McKay learned to ride a bike without training wheels while in Iowa City. We celebrated the fourth of July and went to an adorable little parade. McKay made a little friend named Everson who lived near us and who he still talks about (6 months later). Bryan moved there two weeks before us. We were there for 2 weeks and then Bryan got a phone call. There was an opening for an oral surgery internship at an excellent program in San Antonio. Since Bryan wants to be an oral surgeon, he contacted the director and was given a face time interview. I was in tears before the interview as I knew what this would mean at 36 weeks pregnant. We prayed together about it before the interview and I felt at peace that he needed to accept the internship if it was offered. He found out about the position on wednesday (we were at chick fil-A for dress like cows and get free chicken day). He had a face time interview Thursday, was offered a position Friday, my dad flew out to help us move saturday, and drove away with all of our stuff thrown into a moving truck Sunday, found a place to move into Monday, and moved into a town home Tuesday. Everything worked out so smoothly considering how crazy it all was. Heavenly Father really was looking out for us during this crazy time! Now we are in San Antonio, and are enjoying everything this city has to offer!
